Seminar on “Post-Pandemic Innovative Learning: Then, Now, and Future Strategies”

Cirebon, Indonesia, September 21, 2022 – The English Language Teaching Department of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon proudly hosted a seminar titled “Post-Pandemic Innovative Learning: Then, Now, and Future Strategies” on September 21, 2022. The event featured esteemed speaker Dr. Finita Dewi, S.S., M.A., an English lecturer at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) and director of iTELL and Muhsiyana Nurul Aisyiyah, S.Pd., M.Hum., as the moderator

With the challenges and opportunities presented by the post-pandemic landscape, the seminar delved into insightful discussions on innovative learning approaches. Dr. Finita Dewi’s expertise shed light on the dynamics of education for Generation Z and the intriguing concept of the Strawberry generation—externally captivating but fragile upon closer examination.

Attendees were treated to a comprehensive exploration of technological applications enhancing educational experiences. Dr. Finita Dewi elucidated on familiar platforms like websites, online journals, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, emphasizing their potential for effective learning. Additionally, lesser-known tools such as Wakelet and Crowd Sourcing were unveiled, offering novel avenues for educational enrichment.

The seminar attracted a diverse audience, including competition participants, committee members, ELTD  students, and students from other universities. Through engaging presentations and interactive discussions, participants gained valuable insights into leveraging technology for enhanced learning outcomes in the post-pandemic era.

Reflecting on the seminar, Dr. Finita Dewi remarked, “Innovation is key to navigating the evolving landscape of education. By making the most of the technology and understanding the unique needs of today’s learners, we can cultivate meaningful and effective learning experiences.”
